How to hold the Tombak [4]

-Left foot should be a bit in front of the right foot by the size of your foot. For your left foot you should either use a footstool or keep your heel up and rest it on the chair's leg.
-Position the Tombak on your left foot in such way that it would not fall if you are not holding it. The drum should be horizontal to the floor but tipped down so that the head is slightly downward. The skin should not touch your right foot by the thickness of your hand.
-Keep the back and neck straight and your shoulder level.

Right Hand
-Your right hand should be free like when you are walking. Your hand should bend from the elbow and your forearm should make a little more than 90 degrees with your elbow.
-Your wrist should be a little bent with your hands weight.

Left Hand
-
Your left forearm should be on the Tombak body and your wrist should be position so that you knuckles are aligned with the rim of the Tombak.
